Beavers Bound for the Bay Area

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Winners in eight-of-the-last-nine, the Oregon State volleyball team will venture south to the Bay Area for the next two conference matches.
The Beavers (8-4, 2-0 WCC) closed the opening weekend of West Coast Conference play with dominant victories over Saint Mary's (Calif.) and Pacific in the last times out.
Numbers to Know
-.056 – In the first set against Saint Mary's (Calif.) leading 18-8, Beaver defense was holding the Gaels to a -.056 hitting mark.
.000 – OSU limited Pacific to a .052 clip for the match and kept them to .000 in the second set.
2 – The Beavs are second in the WCC in blocks/set (2.51), points/set (17.6), kills/set (13.74) and assists/set (12.69)
3 – OSU held three opponents to their lowest PCT of the season (St. Mary's .090, Arizona .224, Montana State .122) and held Pacific to their season low of .052.
5 – OSU swept five opponents in the month of September. It's the most in a single month since 2017.
8 – Oregon State enters the weekend having won eight of their last nine games.

• Trailing 6-5 in series history, Oregon State is looking for redemption after falling to Santa Clara in both 2024 games.

• Alana Marrs was named the WCC's Defensive Player of the Week following the Saint Mary's (Calif.) and Pacific matches.
