Beavers Picked Second in Pac-12

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State volleyball has been picked second in the Pac-12 Preseason Predicted Order of Finish, a poll voted on the league's head coaches, it was announced Tuesday.

OSU is coming off a tremendous 2025 season that culminated in a 19-9 record, which was the team's highest win total since posting 21 back in 2017. The 2025 season was just the fourth time that Oregon State has won 18 or more matches in the last 30 years, having previously reached that win total in 2017 (21-12, 7th Pac-12), 2014 (21-13, t-7th Pac-12) and 1996 (19-12, 7th Pac-12).

Finishing top three in the final regular season standings, it was just the second time ever that the Beavers have finished a season in the top five of the conference standings, and first in the top three, having placed fifth in the Pac-12 in 2001.

Bolstered by the return of reigning conference Freshman of the Year Alana Marrs, the Beavers welcomed eight new players in the offseason: true freshmen Isabel Bertelsen (Orlando, Fla.), Abby Lesagonicz (San Diego, Calif.) and Beatrice Spada (Verona, Italy) as well as transfers AC Froehlich (LSU), Ivana Cvetkovic (Wake Forest), Aly Cox (Pacific), Amaya Tolentino (Jacksonville State) and Taylor Treahy (George Washington).

As part of the release, it was announced that Froehlich, Marrs and Treahy were named to the 2026 Preseason Impact List.

Froehlich tallied 132 kills across three seasons while playing for the Tigers in her home state of Louisiana, which included her first career double-double (15 kills and 14 digs) against FIU and a career-best five aces at Auburn.

Marrs' standout freshman season saw the Ellensburg, Wash., native lead the team in solo blocks (28), block assists (76) and total blocks (104) while hitting .361, which was the second best single season hitting percentage in program history. Her accolades also included a First Team All-Conference nod and AVCA All-Northwest Region Honorable Mention selection.

Treahy was a First Team All A-10 selection in 2025 after tallying 289 kills, matching the league's single-season match record with 29 against George Mason. She also totaled 73 blocks after finishing her freshman season with 283 kills and 60 blocks.

OSU opens 2026 season this weekend in Utah, facing Utah Tech, Utah Valley and the Utah Utes across three days of competition, returning home to host the ASICS Invitational next weekend. Tickets are available and can be purchased by visiting https://beav.es/VBTix.
