Oregon State Men’s Rowing to Host Washington at Vancouver Lake
April 10, 2025 | Men's Rowing
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Oregon State men's rowing will continue its spring season on Saturday, hosting Washington at Vancouver Lake.
Beaver men's rowing was last in action at the Redwood Shores Invitational II. Across two days of racing, OSU won four races, which was highlighted by the third varsity eight breaking six minutes in all three of its races, winning against UC San Diego and Wisconsin.
The varsity eight also earned its first victory of the spring season after a second place finish in the first iteration of the Redwood Shores Invitational on March 1-2. Coxed by Lidya Acar, the boat bested UC San Diego with a 5:49.7, while igniting a run of three-consecutive Beaver wins.
When the updated IRCA/IRA Coaches' Poll was released on Wednesday, the varsity eight held steady at No. 22. This weekend's opponent, Washington, currently sits at No. 2 after earning the No. 1 spot in the preseason rankings.
Oregon State men's rowing is off next weekend but returns to action on the road, heading to Spokane, Wash., to compete against Gonzaga, UC San Diego and Santa Clara on April 26.
