Campbell, Donahue Tabbed Preseason All-Conference
January 30, 2025 | Softball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – A pair of Beavers – Lici Campbell and Nicole Donahue – have been named to the All-West Coast Conference preseason team ahead of the season.
Campbell, a senior infielder, led last year's team in four categories: slugging percentage (.447), runs batted in (25), home runs (9) and total bases (67). A gamechanger in the batter's box, the Vallejo, Calif., product led a comeback with five RBI in the regular season finale and strung together multiple hitting streaks of at least five games in 2024. Her two-run walkoff home run capped a three-hit game in an upset of eighth-ranked Stanford back in April. In the field, she put up a .972 fielding percentage behind just six errors on 215 chances.
Donahue, a transfer from UT Arlington, will look to keep up her strong play from behind the dish at catcher. With the Mavericks, she was among the offensive leaders with a .452 slugging percentage, a .308 batting average, 32 hits and nine doubles.
As a team, Oregon State was picked by the league's coaches to finish third.
The Beavers will open the 2025 season next week at the Mustang Classic, hosted by Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and will face the host Mustangs and Ball State.
