Oregon State Notables
• Dallas Macias (nine games) now owns the longest hit streak on the team after Travis Bazzana's was snapped at 14 games on Friday.
• Macias is 14-for-36 (.389) with three doubles, two home runs and six RBI during his streak.
• Wilson Weber, meanwhile, has hit safely in six of his last seven games and has eight extra-base hits over that stretch. Weber has four doubles, three triples and a home run since April 1.
• The Beavers threw their fourth shutout of the season Friday night and the 16th during Mitch Canham's tenure.
• The shutout was the first against the Cardinal since the 2018 season in a 10-0 win.
• OSU snapped a five-game losing streak to Stanford and won its 50th game all-time in the series. The Cardinal holds a slight advantage, 54-50, but the Beavers are 25-18 at home.
• Saturday's probable starter, Jacob Kmatz, is the reigning Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week after throwing a complete game versus Arizona State. It was OSU's first since Kevin Abel tossed a complete game against Stanford in 2021 in a losing effort.
• Travis Bazzana walked twice in Friday night's win and has 145 for his career. He's nine shy of equaling Adley Rutschman (2017-19) and Garret Forrester (2021-23) for the program record.
• Oregon State moved into sole possession of first place in the Pac-12, half a game ahead of second.
• OSU is out-scoring its opponents by an average of 5.3 runs per game, third nationally behind only Tennessee (6.6) and Wofford (5.4).
• The win Friday night was Oregon State's 21st straight at home, three shy of the program record set during the 1951-52 seasons.
• North Carolina (21-0), Oregon State (18-0), UC Santa Barbara (11-0), Northeastern (9-0) and Rider (8-0) are the last teams nationally undefeated at home with at least eight games played.
• OSU is 20-2 when scoring first.
