Corvallis, Ore. – Oregon State Track and Field opens the 2024-25 indoor season this weekend at the Silver State Invitational and the Sharon Colyear Danville Indoor Opener.

For part of the team, the competition starts on Friday; Markayla Billings, Jayla Hooper and Bea Pettersson will open the day with Weight Throw at 10:00 a.m. The Silver State Invitational is the first Nevada Track & Field Meet to be held at the new indoor track at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

The distance squad will head to Boston for the Sharon Colyear Danville Indoor Opener. Maya Baechler, Ruby Broadbent and Ainsley Herron will start the day for the Beavers in the Mile at 7:30 a.m. Often the premier early-season event of the indoor calendar for distance runners, the meet is hosted by Boston University at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
