
Beavers Stack Personal Bests at Wolf Pack Classic and Multis

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State kept its momentum rolling at the Wolf Pack Classic and Multis in Reno, Nevada, as the Beavers turned in a weekend defined by personal bests across the squad.
The multis opened the weekend with Peyton Craven and Kate Kubacki completing the pentathlon, as Craven finished ninth with 3,336 points and Kubacki placed 11th with 3,170.
Kubacki highlighted the day with a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking 9.02 to move up the Oregon State all-time list, while also setting a new personal mark in the high jump at 1.47 meters. Craven added a sixth-place finish in the long jump at 5.57 meters and closed the pentathlon with an 800-meter effort of 2:38.22.
Friday saw continued momentum in the field events, led by Olivia Chamizo's fifth-place finish in the weight throw. Chamizo launched a personal-best mark of 16.93 meters to climb to fifth on Oregon State's all-time list. Dede Norman followed with a third-place finish in the long jump at 5.82 meters, while Lexi Hunt cleared 1.68 meters in the high jump.
In pole vault, Mia Fowler and Claire Lee competed in the A section, and Carley Strand delivered a personal best of 3.41 meters in the B section to move into eighth all-time at OSU. Megan Hatcher added a personal best in the 200 meters, improving her program ranking.
The Beavers closed the meet on Saturday with another wave of personal records. Hatcher, Kubacki, and Craven all ran lifetime bests in the 60-meter hurdles prelims, with Hatcher's 9.02 moving her into eighth on the OSU all-time list.
Ruby Lorenz led the middle-distance efforts with a fifth-place finish and personal best of 1:36.27 in the 600 meters, while Ava McKee and Hatcher followed close behind. Jaida Bell capped the weekend in the field with a fourth-place finish in the triple jump, recording an 11.90-meter mark that now ranks second all-time in Oregon State history.
