
Oregon State Track and Field Ends Weekend with 19 Personal Bests

RENO, Nev./SEATTLE, Wash. – Oregon State finishes split competition weekend at the Battle Born Classic and the UW Husky Classic with 19 personal bests.
In Reno, Oregon State saw success across the jumps and sprints. Jaida Bell opened the weekend with a personal best in the long jump, recording a mark of 5.42 meters, while Peyton Craven followed closely at 5.39 meters.
The pole vault group added solid performances from Mia Fowler, who cleared 3.79 meters in the A section, alongside Claire Lee at 3.64 meters and Carley Strand at 3.34 meters in the B section.
On the track, Callie Brandes ran a personal-best 7.76 in the 60 meters to move to seventh on Oregon State's all-time list, while Audrey Biggerstaff also set a lifetime best.
Meanwhile in Seattle, Oregon State's distance squad delivered several standout performances against national-level competition. Molly Latincsics ran a personal-best 16:35.68 in the 5,000 meters, moving to sixth on the OSU all-time list.
The distance medley relay of Maya Baechler, Megan Hatcher, Jillian Brown, and Ainsley Herron clocked 11:06.75 to rank third in program history. In the 3,000 meters, Delaney Ulrich and Payton Smith both recorded personal bests, and Olivia Chamizo added an eighth-place finish in the weight throw.
Saturday in Reno featured another strong showing in the jumps, led by Dede Norman's third-place finish in the high jump at 1.74 meters, marking her third consecutive top-three finish of the indoor season.
Lexi Hunt added a clearance of 1.69 meters, while Kate Kubacki recorded a personal best of 1.49 meters in the B section. Riley Patera highlighted the sprint group with a personal-best 56.64 in the 400 meters, and Ruby Lorenz and Avery Marr turned in solid performances in the 800 meters. Additional personal records came from Biggerstaff and Craven in the 200 meters.
The momentum continued in Seattle as Ainsley Herron led the Beavers in the mile with a personal-best 4:37.96, improving her standing to sixth all-time at Oregon State. Noemi Lundgren followed with a personal best of 4:43.75 to move into eighth on the program list, while several teammates added lifetime bests in a deep field.
Maya Baechler capped the weekend with a breakthrough performance in the 800 meters, running a personal-best 2:06.29 to improve her school-record mark and lead another strong middle-distance showing for the Beavers.
