
Beavs Welcome Pacific and Portland for Pair of Home Matches

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women's soccer team continues their homestand welcoming Pacific and Portland this week.
Kickoff against the Tigers is set for a 7 p.m. PT start time, while Sunday's match with the Pilots is set for 3 p.m. PT. Both matches are available to stream on the Oregon State Live Stream.
Last Time Out
Oregon State women's soccer opened their home schedule with a 2-0 victory over UC San Diego on Thursday afternoon at Lorenz Field.
Creating several dangerous attacks in the first half, the Beavs finally broke through in the 44th minute. Off assists from Rin Choi and Valerie Tobias, Maddie Tetz used her right foot to play a beautiful chip shot just inside the 18 into the right upper 90 for her first goal of the season. The goal was the first this season for Tetz and the fourth of her career.
Oregon State broke through again in the 70th minute off an errant Triton pass. McKenna Martinez made a run down the right flank before crossing a ball into Lindsey Antonson, who fed to Tobias, who finished with her left to beat the keeper down the middle.
Tobias entered the match with four career points, and left with seven, after the goal and assist.
It marked the second clean sheet for the Beavs in 2023 as Hailey Coll and Mya Sanchez combined to make a pair of saves and keep UC San Diego off the board.
Last Time Against Pacific
A 57th-minute goal from Skylar Herrera helped the Beavs to a 1-1 draw with host Pacific during the 2022 season.
Scouting the Tigers
The Pacific women's soccer squad (2-1-1) knocked off UC Santa Barbara by a 3-1 score in their most recent match. In the contest, fifth-year senior Jaida Nyby scored from 15-feet out. Nyby added an insurance score with just 64 seconds remaining in the match. She now has a team-best four goals on the season to lead the Tigers.
Last Time Against Portland
In 2020, sophomore Brianna McReynolds scored two goals to lead the Oregon State women's soccer team but it was the host, Portland, taking home the 4-3 victory.
Scouting the Pilots
The Portland Pilots came up just short in their home opener to the No. 23 Washington State Cougars 1-0. Portland's record stands at 1-1-0 following the loss. Portland outshot the Cougs 19-9 and recorded nine shots on goal. The loss marked the for the Pilots at home since 2021.
