Ciao Beavs Day 6: The Five Lands
August 24, 2023 | Women's Basketball
FLORENCE, Italy – The Oregon State women's basketball team traveled to Cinque Terre on Wednesday, visiting the five picturesque cities for most of the day.
Â
The Beavs made the trip via bus and train, reaching La Spezia in about two hours before hopping on the regional train to Monterosso. After arriving at the furthest of the five cities, the Beavers split with some of the team electing to enjoy the beach while others departed on a hike to Vernazza.
Â
Â
The team reunited in the second city for lunch. Some of the players chose to try local pesto, enjoying the famous sauce that originated in the area.
Â
Post-lunch activities included more time at the beach, shopping and exploring the various towns that make up Cinque Terre. The team returned to Florence for dinner, choosing to dress up for a fancy meal at a local restaurant.
Â
Â
A livestream of the game is unlikely, though hosting teams may provide it if they choose to. Scores will be made available on social media and osubeavers.com after the contests. Â
