Aiden Jimenez struck out a season-high six batters in a season-long six innings to send Oregon State to a 3-1 win over Sam Houston Sunday. Brady Kasper drove in two during a three-run fourth inning, and Mikey Kane doubled home the team's first run of the inning. The victory came after OSU hit three home runs in the first matchup of the day, a 6-5 loss to LSU.

• Oregon State is playing in its 61st game of the season for the eighth time in program history. It's the third consecutive season the Beavers have played in at least 61 games.
• Oregon State has advanced to an NCAA Regional final for the third consecutive season and fifth time in its last six postseason appearances.
• Three of the eight games between the Beavers and Tigers have been decided by two runs or less. The other five have been decided by five or more.
• Mikey Kane rides a team-long 17-game hit streak into Monday's matchup. He is 23-for-67 (.343) with 18 runs scored, 17 RBI, six doubles and two home runs during the streak.
• Garret Forrester walked twice against Sam Houston and three times overall Sunday to give him 156 for his career. That ties Adley Rutschman (2017-19) for the most ever by a Beaver.
• Forrester also singled twice against the Bearkats and has reached base safely in 59 consecutive games. He has 207 career hits, good for ninth at Oregon State.
• OSU's loss to LSU Sunday marked just the second time this season the Beavers fell when out-hitting its opponent. OSU is now 33-2 when collecting more hits.
• Oregon State is playing on a Monday for just the second time this season. The Beavers defeated UC Santa Barbara, 11-0, on Feb. 20.
• The Beavers have won 41 games for the ninth time in program history and second straight under Mitch Canham. Canham has played for or served as the team's head coach for five of those nine seasons.
• The Beavers' 86 home runs now rank fourth in the Pac-12. OSU also ranks tied for fourth in the conference with a .295 team batting average.
• OSU is 36-0 and 116-6 under Mitch Canham when taking a lead into the ninth inning. The Beavers are also 34-0 when leading after seven in 2023.
• Gavin Turley is 18-for-30 (.600) during an eight-game hit streak. He has 10 walks to go along with six doubles, six home runs and 24 RBI during it.
• Turley's average is at .306, improving 77 points from .229 on May 13.
