CORVALLIS, Ore. - After winning the 24th Pac-12 Championship in program history on Sunday night, the seven individual qualifiers – including the five who took individual titles - learned their seedings for next week's NCAA Tournament.
Brandon Kaylor – the Pac-12 champion at 125 lbs. and defending All-American – is seeded seventh and will face No. 26 Jack Wagner of North Carolina. The Bonney Lake, Wash., native went 21-7 in the season.
Jason Shaner – runner-up at the Pac-12 championships at 133 – is seeded 19th and will face No. 14 Jesse Mendez of Ohio State. Shaner – a Hood River, Ore., native – went 20-10 in 2022-23.
After an exciting win by fall in the 141 lb. conference championship, Cleveland Belton was selected as the 21st seed. Belton will face Purdue's Parker Filius. In his first season competing for the Beavers, he tallied 18 wins in 26 chances.
Following a 23-win season highlighted by a pair of wins over No. 3 in the country and a Pac-12 title, Matthew Olguin will head to Tulsa as the eighth seed. He'll get his tournament started against Nebraska's Bubba Wilson.
Mateo Olmos – another Pac-12 champion – will head to Tulsa after a 15-win season as the 12th seed. He'll be matched up with Columbia's Lennox Wolak.
Trey Munoz – the two-time defending Pac- 12 champion at 184 – will meet Deanthony Parker of North Dakota State in the first round. The Californian only dropped one decision out of 25 this season.
Tanner Harvey, in his first season with the Beavers, will arrive in Tulsa as the 18th seed in the 197 lb. bout. His opponent is a familiar one in Oklahoma State's Luke Surber. Harvey defeated the Cowboy by decision at 14-9 back in January.
