Beavers Claim Senior Night Victory Over North Dakota State

CORVALLIS, Ore. – No. 23 Oregon State ended its regular season with a Senior Night victory over North Dakota State, 20-11, on Friday evening in front of 1,423 fans at Gill Coliseum.
Allie Grant, Megan Hill, Alyssa Woodberry, Darius Mynar, Chase DeBlaere, Damion Elliott, McKinley Robbins, Ayden Garver, Keller Rock, Matthew Olguin, Graham Gambrall and Maximo Renteria were all recognized during the Senior Night ceremony for their contributions to the Oregon State wrestling program.
Renteria, ranked No. 9 nationally at 125 pounds, won his fifth-straight match with a 9-4 decision over No. 21 Ezekiel Witt for his seventh win against a ranked opponent this season. Renteria improved to 18-2 on the season and 34-11 in his career.
No. 28 Nash Singleton outlasted Michael Olson for a 3-0 decision at 141 pounds to give the Beavers a 6-3 lead. Singleton notched his 13th win of the season, with seven losses, and moved to 35-29 in his collegiate career.
Olguin joined Renteria with a Senior Night victory, as the 21st-ranked wrestler at 165 pounds earned a hard-fought 8-2 decision against Boeden Greenley. The win cut North Dakota State's lead to 11-9 and moved Olguin to 15-6 this season and 60-33 in his career, the most victories by a current Beaver.
No. 27 Daschle Lamer gave Oregon State the lead through seven bouts, 12-11, with an 8-3 decision over Max Magayna at 174 pounds. Lamer picked up his 18th win of the season with only three losses, including 12 of those with extra points.
At 184 pounds, TJ McDonnell got a takedown with 12 seconds remaining to earn a 5-2 decision against Andrew McMonagle that got the Gill Coliseum crowd to its feet. The win gave Oregon State a 15-11 lead and moved McDonnell's season record to 13-8 and his career mark to 20-22.
Justin Rademacher, the sixth-ranked wrestler nationally at 197 pounds, got back to his winning ways with a 8-5 decision over No. 24 Devin Wasley that secured the win for the Beavers. Rademacher improved to 21-2 this season, with four ranked wins, and 35-12 in his career.
Freshman Khale McDonnell had the win of the night, an exciting 9-7 decision over Shilo Jones for his fourth victory of the season.
