Maximo Renteria Named Pac-12 Wrestler Of The Week For Fourth Time

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State redshirt senior Maximo Renteria has been named the Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week for the fourth time in 2025-26, the conference announced on Tuesday.
He's the fourth wrestler in conference history to earn the honor four times in his career, and the first to win them all in one season. His four trail only Stanford's Shane Griffith (five) for the most weekly honors in a career.
Renteria, from Clovis, Calif., earns the honor after picking up a win over No. 21 Ezekiel Witt in the Beavers' victory over North Dakota State Friday night. Renteria, competing for the last time at Gill Coliseum, downed Witt, 9-4, after jumping out to a 3-2 lead in the first period and building on it with a five-point second. He earned a riding time point for the final tally.
Renteria now has 18 wins on the year entering March 6's Pac-12 Tournament, with seven of those victories coming in ranked bouts.
