Four Tabbed as Top Seeds For Pac-12 Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Four Beavers earned No. 1 seeds ahead of Sunday's Pac-12 Wrestling Championship, as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning.
In addition to the four at No. 1, three received No. 2 seeds and another pair were ranked No.3. Those seeded in the top two will get first-round byes on Sunday in Stanford, California.
Cleveland Belton (141), Matthew Olguin (165), Mateo Olmos (174) and Trey Munoz (184) – the defending champion - earned top seeds in their classes.
Brandon Kaylor (125), Jason Shaner (133) and Tanner Harvey (197) all earned No. 2 seeds.
Isaiah Crosby (157) is seeded third and will face CSU Bakersfield's Brock Rogers. Crosby took the regular season match over Rogers by fall.
JJ Dixon (heavyweight) also received a third seed and will open with CSU Bakersfield's Jake Andrews.
Seeded sixth at 149, Riley Gurr will meet Cal Poly's Dom Demas in the opening round. In the regular season, Demas edged Gurr by decision at 3-2.
Action opens from Stanford's Maples Pavilion at 10 a.m. on Sunday with first session matchups, with the second session slated to begin at 4:45 p.m. Both sessions will be livestreamed by the Cardinal. The championship rounds are scheduled for a 6:05 p.m. start and can be seen on Pac-12 Network and the Pac-12 Now App.
