DAM CANCER
The meet serves as the Beavs annual Dam Cancer meet with a silent auction featuring four team-signed Dam Cancer t-shirts taking place in the front lobby of Gill. All proceeds from the auction will go to Project H.E.R.
Fans can stop by the marketing table for pink 10 cards, while the first 200 students in attendance at Friday's meet will receive a Dam Cancer shirt.
LAST TIME OUT
Recording a season-high on bars and matching a season-high on vault with a 49.300 on each apparatus, the Beavs recorded a season-best 197.300 to defeat the 195.225 of Washington last Saturday at Alaska Airlines Arena.
SERIES HISTORY
The Beavs and Golden Bears will meet for the 105th time on Friday night. Oregon State holds a 32-1 advantage in Corvallis and will look to avenge the first loss to Cal in program history at Gill in 2021. The GymBeavs lead the overall series 93-11 and will look to break a five-meet skid to California.
BEHIND ENEMY LINES
The Golden Bears are under the direction of husband and wife duo Justin Howell and Elisabeth Crandall-Howell. Cal is looking to tie the best start in program history at 10-0, a record that was set back in 2015. Cal is still finding its strength on bars and beam. The team ranks third in the country on the uneven bars with a 49.460 average and fourth on the balance beam with a 49.395. In the 10 rotations the Bears have competed in those two events, they have never scored lower than a 49.250.
UP NEXT
Oregon State enjoys their longest stretch of the season without an away meet returning home from Seattle on Feb. 4 before traveling to Stanford 19 days later on Feb. 23.
OSU concludes their homestand by hosting Arizona on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 12:30 p.m. PT. The meet will serve as the Dam Worth It meet, as well as the Alumni meet.
