
Beavers Welcome Arizona for Pac-12 Dam Worth It and Bark In the Park Series

THIS WEEK
• No. 20 Oregon State continues Pac-12 play this weekend, hosting the Arizona Wildcats for a three-game series at Kelly Field for its annual Dam Worth It Series. The weekend is also highlighted by the Bark in the Park Series presented by Toyota. All games will be available on the Pac-12 Networks.

SCOUTING THE ARIZONA WILDCATS
• The Wildcats hold a 20-12 overall record with a 1-8 conference record, heading into the weekend. Arizona is hitting .337 as a team with 45 home runs and 36 doubles, averaging 6.31 runs per game.
• Jasmine Perezchica leads the team with a .420 batting average with a team-best 42 hits and 28 runs. Carlie Scupin and Allie Skaggs have led the home run gang with 14 and 11, respectively this season.
• From the circle, Devyn Netz leads the Wildcats after tossing 74 2/3 innings thus far with a 20-14 record and a 4.82 ERA to go along with 47 strikeouts. Madi Elish has proven to be No. 2 with a 20-6 record and a 5.10 ERA in 47 2/3 innings.
THE SERIES: OREGON STATE VS. ARIZONA
• Arizona leads the all-time series with Oregon State 16-111 as the Beavers are 4-22 under head coach Laura Berg. The Wildcats head into Corvallis on a 15-game winning streak over the Orange & Black.
• The last time Oregon State defeated UA occurred back in Tucson in 2016 after the Beavers took the second game of the series by a score of 2-1.
BEAVERS AT A GLANCE
• After a perfect 4-0 last weekend, Oregon State moved up to as high as No. 20 in the rankings. The Beavers took its first sweep of the year last weekend at Cal just after defeating Saint Mary's 11-0 on Thursday, improving to 29-8 overall and 5-4 in the Pac-12.
• The Orange & Black have given up just two runs in their last seven games, outscoring their opponents 29-2.
• With their performances last week, the freshmen duo of Sarah Haendiges and Kiki Escobar were named Pac-12 Pitcher and Freshman of the Week.
• Escobar leads all players with 53 hits, which is also ranked No. 3 amongst the nation. She is batting .381 after starting in all 37 games. Freshman counterpart Eliana Gottlieb is third on the team with 34 hits, having gone yard five different times with six doubles. Junior Frankie Hammoude holds an impressive .828 slugging percentage this season with 39 hits and a team-best 11 home runs.
• As a team, the Beavers hold a .302 batting average with 41 home runs from eight different Beavers. Oregon State averages 5.75 runs per game led by Gottlieb's 31 runs.
PAC-12 WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS
• Through eight weeks of play, the Beavers have collected five different conference weekly awards
• Junior Frankie Hammoude got things started in the first week, being named Player of the Week. She reached base in all five games in the weekend opener, producing 10 hits (10-for-16) with five home runs, 10 runs batted in, one walk and five runs scored.
• Newcomer Kiki Escobar garnered Freshman of the Week in the second week for her first conference nod of her early Beaver career. Escobar reached base in all five games, producing a team-high nine hits and went 9-for-19 (.474) with two doubles, six RBIs, one walk and three runs scored.
• On March 9, the conference announced that senior Mariah Mazon took home Oregon State's second Player of the Week honor of the season after her record-breaking performance at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
• The freshmen standouts of Kiki Escobar and Sarah Haendiges recently grabbed their nods. Escobar's 10-for-16 performance last week garnered her second conference nod while Haendiges' pitcher of the week award was her first of her early career. In the circle, Haendiges struck out 16 batters in 17 innings after surrendering just nine hits and one walk over the course of four games to move her ERA to a 1.79.
ON DECK
• The Beavers hit the road for a Pac-12 series showdown at No. 11 Washington. The three-game tilt is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 14 at 5 p.m. PT, continues on Friday, April 15 at 6 p.m. and concludes on Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m.
• All three games will be available on the Pac-12 Networks.
