Today we begin a series of Q & A's with our returners focused on their time thus far during the COVID-19 quarantine. Let's kick it off with rising senior Haylie Bennett.

Q: Where are you quarantining?
A: I am quarantining in my apartment in Corvallis.Â
Â
Q: What is the biggest positive to come from your quarantine?
A: My biggest positive during this time is a sense of gratitude. I'm grateful for my health, my family and friends, my sport, and the opportunities I have been given.
Â
Q: What is your preferred work out location during quarantine?
A: My preferred workout location is the sand courts!
Â
Q: Abs or cardio?
A: Abs for sure. Cardio is not my thing.
Â
Q: What TV series have you enjoyed the most during the quarantine?
A: I have been binge watching Criminal Minds and I am so hooked. I love it!
Â
Q: What have you done during the quarantine that you didn't do during normal life?
A: Play beach volleyball.Â
Â
Q: Have you done anything to improve yourself during quarantine?
A: I bought a new book and have been reading more. I have also really dove into my Bible and I've been working on bettering myself with Jesus.

Q: What was your favorite moment from the 2019 volleyball season?
A: My favorite moment from the 2019 season was coming back and beating Oregon in that five-set thriller.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: I want to be a labor and delivery nurse.Â

Q: Is there a skill you are/were focused on improving during the offseason?
A: I was focusing the most on my serve-receive and defense.Â
Â
Q: How is remote college working out? What has been your biggest school challenge?
A: Remote college is definitely very different but I'm getting the hang of it. The hardest part for me was establishing a routine to stick to because with so much time it is hard to make yourself a schedule and hold yourself accountable.Â

Q: What do you look forward to the most about getting back to Corvallis (or other people getting back to Corvallis?
A: I look forward to being with my team again. I miss them a lot.Â
