Turner Earns NWCA All-American Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State junior Devan Turner was named a 2020 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division 1 Second-Team All-American on Friday, as announced by the NWCA.
Turner finished the season with a 26-9 record at 133 pounds with an impressive 12-2 mark in dual meets. The Pac-12 Champion was set to enter the 2020 NCAA Wrestling Championships as the No. 12 seed, riding a seven-match win streak.
He boasts 59 career wins, marking the most on the active roster, and becomes the 96th wrestler in OSU history to notch All-American honors.
The NWCA announced All-Americans after the cancellation of the NCAA Tournament due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Wrestlers seeded 1-8 for the NCAA Tournament were named to the first team, seeds 9-12 were second-team picks and seeds 13-16 were honorable mention selections.
