Beavers Win Pac-12 Championship, Four Claim Individual Titles

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Oregon State wrestling team won the 2026 Pac-12 Championship with four wrestlers claiming individual titles at the Mott Athletics Center on Friday.
The Beavers have now won 26 conference titles in program history, including back-to-back championships and three of the last four under head coach Chris Pendleton.
Gabe Whisenhunt (133), Nash Singleton (141), Matthew Olguin (165) and Daschle Lamer (174) all won their respective weight classes and automatically advanced to the NCAA Championships, which are scheduled for Thursday, March 19 through Saturday, March 21 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Maximo Renteria (125) and Justin Rademacher (197) both finished second and clinched berths to the NCAA Championships via allocation spots.

Whisenhunt cruised to his Pac-12 title at 133 pounds with 10-1 major decisions against both Anthony Lucio of Cal Poly and Dillon Cooper of Little Rock. A native of Corvallis, Whisenhunt missed the 2024-25 season but picked up nine wins this year to give him 29 in his career.
Singleton, ranked 23rd in the nation at 141 pounds, made it back-to-back Pac-12 titles with an 11-0 major decision against Alek VanBebber of Cal Poly and an 11-2 major decision over Brennan Van Hoecke of Little Rock. Singleton, a native of Roseburg, moved to 15-7 this season and 37-29 as a collegian.
Olguin, who is No. 23 nationally at 165 pounds, won his second Pac-12 title, with the first coming in 2023, after an 8-0 major decision against Coen Quintana of Cal State Bakersfield and an 8-3 decision over Anthony Berg of Cal Poly. Olguin, a graduate student from Fresno, Calif., is 17-6 this season and has a team-high 62 career victories.
No. 29 Lamer was dominant in earning his Pac-12 title at 174 pounds with two major decisions – 9-0 against Guillermo Escobedo of Cal State Bakersfield and 9-1 against Gunner Holland of Little Rock. Lamer, a redshirt sophomore from Corvallis, improved to 20-3 this season with five majors, six technical falls and three pins.
Renteria, ranked eighth nationally at 125 pounds, picked up wins against Tyson Roach of Little Rock (15-5) and Richard Castro-Sandoval of Cal State Bakersfield (12-7), Ninth-ranked Rademacher, 197 pounds, notched wins against Chris Neal of Cal State Bakersfield (17-2 TF, 3:56) and Cole Jackson of Cal Poly (Fall 2:13).
