The Game
- Oregon State and Stanford meet Saturday at Reser Stadium in a game slated to start at 7:30 p.m. PT.
- The game will be televised on ESPNU.
- The game will mark the 87th all-time meeting between the teams dating back to 1919. Stanford holds a 58-25-3 advantage, including a 22-12-1 mark in games played in Corvallis.
- The game was originally scheduled to be played at Stanford Stadium in California. However, last week it was moved to Reser Stadium in light of the Santa Clara County Public Health Department's emergency directive issued on Nov. 28.
- It marks the first time since the 1998-99 seasons that the Beavers and Cardinal played at the same site in back-to-back years. The Cardinal hosted the games in 1998 and 1999.
- Every game this season can be heard live via the TuneIn application, which is available online and on smartphones and tablets. To find the game, once the app has been downloaded, search "Beaver Sports Network."
Oregon State Notes
- Avery Roberts' 21 tackles Saturday against Utah are the most by a player nationally this season.
- The 21 tackles by Roberts also tied him for the the third-best single-game total in OSU history. He was just one shy of tying the Oregon State single-game record.
- Saturday's game marks the latest regular season contest against a collegiate program in Oregon State's history. The previous mark came in 1938 at UCLA, a 6-6 tie played on Dec. 10.
- Oregon State's games have been decided by an average of just 5.8 points per game this season. OSU has won by an average of 3.5 PPG and lost at 7.3 PPG.
Against Stanford
- Stanford holds the all-time series advantage, 58-25-3, and has won 10 straight games.
- Three of the last four games in Corvallis between the Beavers and Cardinal have been decided by 10 points or less, with Stanford winning, 31-28, in 2019 and 15-14, in 2017.
- Jonathan Smith's program-record 97-yard pass to Chad Johnson occurred against Stanford on Oct. 14, 2000. He also found T.J. Houshmandzadeh for 76 yards in that game.
- Smith holds the Oregon State single-game record for passing yards versus the Cardinal with 405 in 1999. The effort also marked his second-most, behind 469 at Washington in 1998.
- Steve Brown's 22 tackles against Stanford in 1972 remains the program's standard. That record was equaled by Andre Harris in 1988 versus Colorado.

Roberts' Big Night
- Avery Roberts posted 21 tackles in the game at Utah, which was one shy of tying Steve Brown (1972 versus Stanford) and Andre Harris (1988 against Colorado) for the most in a single-game at Oregon State.
- Roberts tied Osia Lewis (1985 versus Washington) for third-most.
- The redshirt junior tallied 12 tackles in the first half against the Utes.
- He now has a Pac-12 leading 65 tackles this season. Roberts is 81st overall nationally in total tackles; he is one of just three players with 62 or more who have played in fewer than seven games.
- He's averaging 13 tackles per game, which ranks first in the Pac-12 and second nationally. He is one of just 25 players to average 10 or more tackles per game.
- Roberts has posted four consecutive 10-plus tackle efforts. He is the first Beaver to do so since Kane Rogers in 1995. Rogers ended the 1995 season having done so in seven consecutive games.
- Roberts' 65 tackles would have ranked third on the 2019 Beavers. That comes despite the fact he has played less than half of the 2019 team's 12 games.
Speights Close Behind
- Omar Speights wasn't far behind Roberts on Saturday, totaling 13 tackles. Those 13 tackles mark his second-best career number behind the 18 he had versus Washington last season.
- Speights ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 44 tackles, just three shy of Colorado's Nate Lindman and Washington's Edefuan Ulofoshio, who are both second with 47.
- Speights has two double-digit efforts this season and in seven of his 17 career games with Oregon State.
On Fourth
- Oregon State was 1-of-3 on fourth down opportunities on Saturday versus Utah.
- Overall, Oregon State is 8-for-14 (57.1 percent) on fourth down this season. The 14 attempts are tied for the most in the Pac-12 and the eight conversions are the most in the conference.
- The Beavers are 6-for-8 (75 percent) on fourth downs at home but 2-for-6 (33 percent) on the road.
- OSU was 4-of-6 on fourth down against Oregon on Nov. 27. The six attempts were the most by a Beaver team since the 2009 Las Vegas Bowl versus BYU. The four successes were the most since completing five against Washington State in 2018.
- The Beavers were 13-for-24 (54 percent) all of last season.
Nolan's First Career Start
- Chance Nolan made his first career start at the FBS level Saturday, and completed 20 passes in 38 attempts for 202 yards and one touchdown.
- Nolan also ran the ball a team-high 13 times, totaling 36 yards.
- The sophomore was 7-for-12 passing in the first half, throwing for 61 yards. He bettered that with a 13-for-26 effort in the second half, totaling 141 yards.
- Nolan and linebacker Jack Colletto, who carried the ball out of the snap for one 40-yard rush against the Utes, combined for 76 of the Beavers' 133 rushing yards. No OSU QB had run for more than 30 yards in a game since Darrel Garretson totaled 105 against California in 2016.
