Beavers Back At Gill To Host ASU Thursday

THE GAME: Oregon State (11-3, 1-1 Pac-12) will play its first Pac-12 home game of the season when it hosts Arizona State (9-5, 0-1 Pac-12) at 8 p.m. on Thursday at Gill Coliseum.

TELEVISION: The game will be will be televised on ESPNU with Dave Feldman and Adrian Branch calling the action.

QUICKLY: Oregon State has equaled its best start since 1989-90 when Gary Payton was a senior; the 2015-16 team also opened 11-3 ... Tres Tinkle is averaging 23.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and shooting 55.3% (21-for-38) from beyond the arc in the seven games at Gill Coliseum ... Ethan Thompson is averaging a team-best 18.7 points over the last six games, while shooting 58.1% from the field and 82.1% from the free throw line ... vs. ARIZONA STATE: Oregon State and Arizona State are meeting for the 91st time with the Sun Devils holding a 47-43 advantage. The Beavers have a 25-16 edge in games played in Corvallis.

The last four meetings have been decided by a combined 12 points with neither team winning by more than four points -- 74-71 Arizona State on March 3, 2019; 70-67 Arizona State on Jan. 17, 2019; 79-75 Oregon State on Feb 24, 2018; 77-75 Arizona State on Jan. 13, 2018.

Arizona State won both meetings last season. The first was 70-67 on Jan. 17 in Tempe and the second was 74-71 on March 3 in Corvallis. Tres Tinkle averaged 22.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in the two games and Ethan Thompson averaged 20.5 points and 6.5 assists.
