
Three Rowers Tabbed as CRCA Scholar-Athletes

Three Oregon State rowers have been named as 2019 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athletes.

Eliza Adams (Dunedin, New Zealand), Scout Sutton (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Abigail Watts (Wellington, New Zealand), received the honors.
Â
The award mark the third consecutive year Adams, a senior who graduated last month with a double degree in marketing and finance, has been honored as a scholar-athlete.

It is also the second year in a row Sutton, a junior double-majoring in environmental economics and policy as well as agricultural business management, and Watts, a junior double-majoring in management and finance, have received the awards.

REQUIREMENTS
- The student-athlete has met all eligibility rules as defined by her institution.
- The student-athlete was in her second, third or fourth year of eligibility.
- The student-athlete rowed in her institution's NCAA or IRA eligible boat(s) for a minimum of 75% of the current spring races or racing in a regional conference event.
- The head coach of the student-athlete's institution was a member in good standing of the CRCA as of May 1, 2018.
- The student-athlete has had a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher for her career (through fall semester/quarter for the current competition year).
