Goodman, Slocum and Pivec honored by the conference
CORVALLIS – Aleah Goodman, Destiny Slocum and Mikayla Pivec all earned conference recognition Wednesday, as the Pac-12 announced its annual media awards. Goodman was named Pac-12 Media Sixth Player of the Year, while Slocum and Pivec both made the All-Pac-12 Media Team.
Â
Goodman, who was also named Pac-12 Sixth Player of the Year by the conference's coaches on Tuesday, has had an outstanding season for the Beavers, averaging 10.7 points per game, despite coming off the bench in 27 of her 30 appearances. The sophomore has scored in double-figures in seven of her last nine contests, and earned ESPNW National Player of the Week honors on Feb. 25. Goodman is 23rd in the nation in 3-point percentage at 42.3 percent, and is averaging nearly 12 points per game in conference play. The guard was also named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention by the coaches.
Â

Slocum has been named to the mid-season watch lists for the Wooden Award, Naismith Trophy and the Lieberman Award. The digital communication arts major is the sixth player in Oregon State history with multiple point-assist double doubles, and has scored 20 points 12 times this season. The honor is Slocum's second all-conference award, as she was named Second Team All-Big-Ten in her freshman year at Maryland.
Â
Pivec was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention last season, and is averaging 14.6 points and 9.0 rebounds this year. She is shooting 54.3 percent from the floor, the second-best percentage in the Pac-12 and the fifth-best percentage by a guard in the nation. A junior biohealth science major, Pivec is currently 18th in program history with 1,088 career points and 10th in career rebounds with 691.
