Adley Rutschman hit two home runs and went 4-for-5 with four RBI but Oregon State dropped a 9-7 decision to UCLA Sunday in Los Angeles. Rutschman and Alex McGarry homered in back-to-back at bats in the first. Rutschman then hit a home run in the fifth.
Rutschman Player Of The Week
Adley Rutschman was 8-for-13 (.615) with two home runs, nine RBI and five walks in four games last weekend versus Oregon and UCLA. He earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors on Tuesday for his four-game effort. It marked the first of his career.
Versus California
Oregon State has won six consecutive games over California the past two seasons. The Beavers, who now hold a 45-43 all-time advantage in the series, have won 12 of the last 15 series between the teams. Oregon State is 22-14 all-time versus the Bears in Corvallis, including a 17-2 mark since 2005.
Rutschman And Vaughn
The series features two juniors who are expected to be among the top MLB Draft choices in June; OSU's Adley Rutschman and California's Andrew Vaughn.
