THE GAME: The No. 7 Oregon State women's basketball team heads to the Bay Area this week for a two-game swing. The Beavers will open the weekend Friday at No. 11 Stanford.

WHAT'S COMING UP: Oregon State will head across the Bay for a Sunday matchup with California. The Beavers will return to the Beaver State next week for a pair of Civil War matchups. The two-game set will begin Feb. 15 in Eugene, before shifting to Gill Coliseum on Feb. 18.
OSU VS. STANFORD: Oregon State is 9-56 all-time vs. Stanford, and 1-29 all-time at Maples Pavilion. The Beavers earned their first ever road win over the Cardinal in their last trip to the Bay Area, a 72-69 double-overtime victory. - Rueck engineered an accelerated turnaround at Oregon State, bringing the program into national prominence during his eight seasons as head coach.
- Prior to joining Oregon State, Rueck served as head coach at George Fox in Newburg, Ore., where he built the program into a Division III national power, winning an NCAA title in 2009.
- Rueck's teams have consistently been known for outstanding defense. The Beavers have allowed 57.1 points per game over the course of his tenure. George Fox allowed just 48.3 points per contest in 2009-10, Rueck's final year there, and set a school record with 45.4 points allowed under Rueck in 2007-08.
