Oregon State Ranked 5th By NCBWA

DALLAS – Oregon State, the defending national champions, will open the season ranked fifth by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), as announced on Monday. The NCBWA top 40 is the sixth and final ranking to come out before the start of the 2019 season.
Perfect Game has Oregon State ranked the highest at No. 2, followed by USA Today and the NCBWA, which have the Beavers both at No. 5. Collegiate Baseball has OSU at seventh, D1Baseball.com ranks the Beavers eighth and Baseball America rounds out the six at No. 10.
Oregon State has now been ranked in the top 10 by at least five polls for 35 consecutive weeks since the start of the 2017 season. Only one publication ranked the Beavers outside the top 10 for one week in 2018.
The Beavers have also been ranked in the top 10 to open the season for four consecutive years and in six of the last seven.
