Eight Volleyballers Earn Pac-12 Honor Roll Recognition
December 19, 2019 | Women's Volleyball
SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon State is highly represented in Thursday's Pac-12 Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll with 56 individuals claiming a spot on the roster.
The Beavers' volleyball team tied for second in the lead with eight selections. The team was led by redshirt senior Kory Cheshire, who is working on her Master's in Interdisciplinary Studies, making her a three-time league academic standout. Joining her on the honor roll are two-time academic honorees Haylie Bennett (Kinesiology), Makenna Browne (Microbiology & Molecular Biology), Grace Massey (Marketing) and Lindsey Schell (Kinesiology). The remaining team includes Nya Buckner (Microbiology & Molecular Biology), Maddie Sheehan (BioHealth Sciences) and Amy Underdown (Sociology).
To be eligible for the team, student-athletes must have a 3.30 cumulative GPA and have a minimum one-year residency at the institution. The Honor Roll is a new initiative by the league that takes the place of the former academic first team and second teams.
Oregon State volleyball fans are encouraged to join Off the Bench, the program's new donor club. Click here for more information or call Alex Gary in Our Beaver Nation at 541-737-2370.
