Beavers Set For Saturday Date With Dawgs

THE GAME: Oregon State (12-6, 4-2 Pac-12) goes for the home sweep of the Washington schools when it hosts the Huskies (15-4, 6-0) at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Gill Coliseum.

Feb. 24, 2016: 3-pointer at the buzzer for an 82-81 win
Feb. 10, 2018: 3-pointer with 0.3 seconds to play in double-overtime for a 97-94 win

Oregon State won two of the three meetings between the teams last season with none of the games decided by more than three points. The first was 97-94 in a double-overtime thriller on Feb. 10 in Corvallis. The second was 69-66 in overtime on March 7 in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas. Washington won in Seattle, 79-77, on March 1 in Seattle.

Tres Tinkle averaged 21.0 points and 9.3 rebounds in the three games and Stephen Thompson Jr. averaged 18.3 points. The Beavers narrowly outscored the Huskies 243-239 in the three games.

A WIN OVER THE HUSKIES: If Oregon State defeats Washington it will improve to 13-6 overall and 5-2 in Pac-12 play. It would also:

Equal Oregon State's best conference record through seven games since the 1989-90 team opened 6-1 (the 1992-93 and 2014-15 teams started 5-2).
