Get to Know Amy Underdown

Part 4 of our series introducing this year's newcomers features Amy Underdown. She is a junior outside hitter from Temecula, Calif. She transferred to OSU after being named as an All-Colonial Athletic Association first teamer at Northeastern.

What are you looking forward to most about playing for Oregon State?
The level of play the Pac-12 brings.

Who is/was your role model?
My mother, Mary.

What was the best thing you did this summer?
I went to Disneyland.

Do you have a nickname?
Ames/AmyDella

Do you have a game day superstition?
I always knock on the floor three times in the huddle.

How do you like to spend your time away from volleyball?
I don't have a hobby, but I like to swim and hangout with my mom.

Other than volleyball, which OSU team are you most excited to see this year?
Gymnastics

What other sport did you play growing up?
Swimming

What are you planning to study?
Sociology with a concentration in crime and justice.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to work for the government or be a police officer.

What is your favorite movie?
"A Quiet Place"

What was your favorite childhood cartoon?
It's not really a cartoon, but Disney princess, Sleeping Beauty was my favorite.

What is the best meal you cook?
Morning omelettes.

What made you choose to come to Oregon State?
The coaches and team, the Pac-12, and the campus.
