Beavers Add Seattle U. to Schedule

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State 2018 volleyball schedule is complete with the addition of a non-conference match with Seattle U., head coach Mark Barnard announced Wednesday.

The Beavers and Redhawks will face off on Tuesday, Sept. 18 in OSU's home opener, in what will be the first official contest inside Gill Coliseum since the recent addition of the center-hung videoboard and improved LED lighting system.

In all, Oregon State is now scheduled for 11 matches at Gill Coliseum, with the first home Pac-12 Conference event coming Sept. 23 against Washington.

The Beavers return five starters and total letterwinners from the 2017 squad that finished 21-12 and reached the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in program history.

New to the program for the 2019 season are transfers Montanna Gubrud (S, Linn-Benton CC), Allison Hughes (S, SMU) and Amy Underdown (OH, Northeastern), as well as freshmen Nya Buckner (OH, Chandler, Ariz.), Maddie Sheehan (Cypress, Texas) and Kyla Waiters (OH, Costa Mesa, Calif.).
