Beavers Off to Stanford for Pac-12 Championships

STANFORD, Calif. – The Oregon State track & field team will compete at the Pacific-12 Conference championships this Saturday and Sunday at Cobb Track and Angell Field hosted by Stanford University.
The Beavers are in seventh place with 2 points entering the weekend; one point behind Oregon (3) and two points behind Colorado (4). Junior Saskia McNairy took seventh at the Pac-12 Multi-Event Championships last weekend.
The top eight finishers from each will score team points. The Beavers have five student-athletes in the top 8 in their respective events in the Pac-12 season performance list:
Last year the Beavers finished in 11th place at the 2017 championships with 21.5 points. This was the second-most points for OSU since the programs reinstatement in 2005.

- Redshirt junior Nicole Goecke is seeded sixth in the 800 meters (2:06.59). She holds the second-best time in the event in Oregon State history and has twice this season eclipsed 2:09 in the event.
- Redshirt senior Kristiane Width is seeded fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She set her season-best time of 10:25.67 at the Bryan Clay Invitational earlier this season; it was her only attempt at the event.
- Junior Juliana Mount is also seeded in the steeplechase just two spots behind Width at seventh. Mount ran a time of 10:27.80 at the OSU High Performance Meet. She is the current school record holder in the steeple (10:22.97).
- Another school record holder is seeded inside the top eight with senior Destiny Dawson in the javelin. Dawson sits seeded fourth in the event with her best throw of 168-9 coming at the Beach Invitational.
- Junior Delaney Hall finalizes the Beavers seeded inside the top 8. Hall sits eighth in the javelin with her best throw of 156-2, also coming at the Beach Invitational.
