
Grenier, Merwin Named Student-Athletes Of The Month

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Athletics is proud to announce that baseball's Cadyn Grenier and softball's Stephanie Merwin have been named Student-Athletes of the Month for March.

Grenier, a junior, is coming off an All-Pac-12 season in 2017, where he was also named All-Academic Second Team as a psychology major. He has been active in the community during his tenure at Oregon State, most recently visiting with veterans on Veterans Day.

He hails from Henderson, Nev., and has played in all 13 games for the undefeated Beavers this season. He is batting .292 with three doubles, one triple, seven runs batted in and four stolen bases.

Merwin is a sophomore in the College of Engineering, majoring in pre-mechanical engineering. She is currently undertaking courses in engineering, physics, and statistics. She attended Richland High School.

Merwin has started 34 games for the Beavers in her young career. She hit two home runs as a freshman, playing 37 games overall, with 34 starts. Most recently, she volunteered at the 11th Annual Dam Cancer Brunch.

The Oregon State softball team heads to Northridge, Calif., for five games this weekend. The Beavers take on Cal State Northridge and Seattle on Friday to start their trip. They'll play Seattle and Texas Tech on Saturday, with one last game versus the Red Raiders on Sunday.
