THE GAME: The No. 11 Oregon State women's basketball team wraps up nonconference play this week, when the Beavers take on CSU Bakersfield Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.

WHAT'S COMING UP: Oregon State will  open Pac-12 play on Jan. 4, when Washington State visits Gill Coliseum. The Beavers will follow that up by facing Washington on Jan. 6.
OSU VS. CSUB: Oregon State is 6-1 all-time vs. Cal State Baskersfield, and 5-0 under head coach Scott Rueck. The teams last met in 2015, when the Beavers took a 75-51 win in that season's Beavers Beyond the Classroom game. Katie McWilliams is the only current OSU player who was active in that game, as she scored six points and dished out three assists in 25 minutes of action.
SCOUT DAY: Saturday's game will be Scout Day, as scout troops that RSVP online are eligible to earn a special patch.

- Rueck engineered an accelerated turnaround at Oregon State, bringing the program into national prominence during his eight seasons as head coach.
- Prior to joining Oregon State, Rueck served as head coach at George Fox in Newburg, Ore., where he built the program into a Division III national power, winning an NCAA title in 2009.
- Rueck's teams have consistently been known for outstanding defense. The Beavers have allowed 57.1 points per game over the course of his tenure. George Fox allowed just 48.3 points per contest in 2009-10, Rueck's final year there, and set a school record with 45.4 points allowed under Rueck in 2007-08.
