Oregon State Falls to No. 2 USC

USC takes 5-0 win.
Los Angeles, Calif. – Oregon State women's soccer team fell to No. 2 USC, 5-0, in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon.
USC put on the pressure during the first half to jump out to an early 2-0 lead in the first half.
The Beavers defense continued to work hard in the back line stepping up on two different occasions in the half the put USC offsides. Redshirt junior Lindsay LaMont recorded two saves in the first half, as well, to keep the score 2-0 heading into the half.
Emery Wallerich recorded OSU's first shot of the game in the 49th minute of play off a free kick from about 10-meters outside of the penalty box, but USC's goalkeeper was able to get her hands on the ball to stop it.
Sydney Studer added another shot in the 75th minute from deep outside that USC was once again able to stop.
LaMont would finish the game with eleven saves in goal.
USC found back of the net three more times in the second half to extend their lead to 5-0.
Oregon State will stay in Los Angeles to face UCLA on Sunday at 12 p.m.
