November 30, 2017 | Women's Volleyball
SAN FRANCISCO – The Oregon State volleyball team had five student-athletes named to the Pac-12 All-Academic teams headlined by Kory Cheshire and Lanesha Reagan when the conference announced academic teams Thursday.
Â
Cheshire and Reagan are Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team members for the second straight year. In addition, Kayla Ellis, Maddy Gravley and Mary-Kate Marshall received honorable mention recognition.
Â
The Beavers continued a long running trend with at least five selections in each of the last 12 seasons.
Â
It is the third time Cheshire and Reagan have been recognized for their work in the classroom after earning honorable mention in 2015. Cheshire is a double-major in psychology and sociology and a minor in leadership. Reagan studies English with a minor in writing.
Â
Marshall (kinesiology) picked up her third career academic honor, while Ellis (kinesiology) earned her second academic nod. It is the first all-academic award for Gravley (biology with a pre-med option).
Â
The Beavers face NC State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Austin, Texas this Friday at 2:30 p.m. PT.
