
Oregon State Heads To Bay Area For Pair of Ranked Opponents

Beavers take on Cal on Thursday and Stanford on Sunday
THE GAME: Oregon State will hit the road this week for a pair of very challenging tests, as the Beavers continue Pac-12 play in the Bay Area. OSU will start off the weekend by taking on No. 16/23 California on Thursday, and will follow that up by facing No. 1/1 Stanford on Sunday.

WHAT'S COMING UP: Oregon State will return home for its final three matches of the season, as the Beavers play host to Colorado, Utah and Oregon. The stretch will begin with OSU taking on the Buffaloes at 3 p.m. on Oct. 26.
HISTORY WITH THE GOLDEN BEARS: Oregon State is 4-22-1 all-time against California, and has never beaten the Golden Bears on the road. The Beavers last topped Cal on Oct. 25, 2013, when OSU took a 1-0 victory.
HISTORY WITH THE CARDINAL: Oregon State is 1-23-0 historically vs. Stanford, and has never won a road game in the series. The Beavers' lone win in the series was a 1-0 triumph in 2003. Nikki Faris and Taylor Lemmond both scored against the Cardinal last season, in a 3-2 Stanford victory.

- Oregon State has allowed two goals over the last three games, including a pair of overtime shutouts against Washington and Washington State two weeks ago.

- Head Coach Linus Rhode is in his 10th season at the helm of the Oregon State womens soccer team, and is looking to lead the Beavers to their fourth NCAA tournament apperance under his watch.
- Prior to becoming head coach Rhode was an assistant and assosciate coach for the Beavers for eight seasons.
- The program brings on a new assistant coach this season, Vanessa Valentine. Valentine was formerly the head coach at Cal Poly.Â
- The Beavers also promoted longtime assistant Michelle Voiland to the position of associate head coach this season.
