Against Syracuse & Nebraska
• Oregon State has a limited history with both teams. The Beavers will be playing both the Orange and Cornhuskers for the first time this century. And for that matter, for the first time since the NCAA went to rally-point scoring.
• OSU is 0-3 all-time against Nebraska, last competing against the Cornhuskers in 1998. Nebraska won in three sets at the Buckeye Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
• Two years prior, in 1996, the Beavers met Syracuse for the first and only time in the teams' history. That match, played in Portland, was swept by the Beavers.
Last Week
• Oregon State went 2-1 last weekend at the Ultra Ankle Challenge in Corvallis to claim the tournament's title. The Beavers swept Seattle to end the weekend after playing two five-set matches on Friday - defeating Utah State but losing to Portland.
• Mary-Kate Marshall was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after recording 52 kills. Lanesha Reagan was named all-tournament.
Aces
• Mary-Kate Marshall needs just one kill to become the 15th player in Oregon State history with 1,000 kills for a career. The junior tallied 52 over the three matches last weekend.
• When she does so, Marshall will be the first OSU player to reach that plateau since Camille Saxton in 2012. Saxton played at Oregon State from 2009-12, and stands 11th in school history with 1,101 career kills.
• Lanesha Reagan is more than halfway to her total number of kills from 2015. The redshirt sophomore has 57 this season after posting 92 in 2015. Reagan set a career-high with 25 in the first match of the season, against Utah State.
• Reagan is tied for the Pac-12 lead with 57 total kills, while Marshall is third.
• Freshman Serena Bruin is tied with redshirt sophomore Kory Cheshire for the team lead in blocks with 13. Bruin added 12 kills in her first weekend of play.
• Cheshire, meanwhile, set a career-high with 11 kills in Saturday's tournament finale. She joins Reagan (25) and McKenna Hollingsworth (five versus Seattle) as returners who set career highs in kills over the weekend.
• The Beavers hit .404 as a team against Seattle, with Cheshire's .556 percentage leading the team.
