
Oregon State Volleyball Set for Europe Trip

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State volleyball team is set to travel across Europe from June 10-23, making stops in four different countries over a two-week trip.
OSU will fly into Vienna, Austria and stay until June 12, when the Beavers head to Maribor, Slovenia. The Beavers will spend three days in Slovenia before a three-day stay in Croatia, splitting time between Island Pag and Rovinj from June 15-17. OSU spends the remainder of the trip in Italy, making stops in Venice, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Rome and Florence before returning home on June 23.
Oregon State will play six friendlies throughout its trip, including two matches each against a pair of international opponents. The Beavers will face their first opponent, the Slovenian Federation, on each of June 13 and 14, and faces the Croatia U19 National Team on June 15 and 16. OSU plays its final two matches of the Europe trip against Volleyro Rome on June 21 and 22.
The Oregon State volleyball team returns 12 athletes from last year's squad, including eight with 10 or more starts in 2015. The 2016 spring roster includes five rising seniors (defensive specialist/libero Rachel Buehner; middle blocker Jessi Seumalo and hitters Katelyn Driscoll, Lila Toner and Emilie Wilmes), two rising juniors (hitter Mary-Kate Marshall and setter Sam Rouleau) and six rising sophomores (middle blockers Kory Cheshire, Maddy Gravley and Daniela Vargas; defensive specialist/libero Kayla Ellis; hitter/setter McKenna Hollingsworth and hitter Lanesha Reagan).
