
Women's Crew Earns 14 Pac-12 Academic Honors

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Fourteen members of the Oregon State women's rowers were named to the Pac-12 Women's Rowing All-Academic team when it was announced by the Conference on Friday.
The Beavers placed four student-athletes on the all-academic first team including Alissa Kummer (3.90, nutrition) and Chen Oshri (3.73, biology) and juniors Lihani du Plessis (3.86, BioHealth sciences) and Tess O'Leary (3.87, agricultural business management). It is the second straight first team award for du Plessis, O'Leary and Oshri. It is also the second first team honor of Kummer's career.
In addition, senior Arcata Leavitt (3.41, fisheries and wildlife sciences), juniors Alyssa Beamer (3.56, industrial engineering) and Joely Hannan (3.50, biochemistry and biophysics), and sophomores Olivia Ashby (3.56, business) and Natalie Sarff (3.46, public health) earned second team all-academic accolades. It is the second all-academic honors for Beamer and Leavitt.
Honorable mention selections were senior Simone Oberholzer, junior Lily Banks, and sophomores Ellie Lesch, Paige Phillips and Jayme Richardson. It is the second academic awards for Banks and Oberholzer.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and participate in at least half of their team's competitions.
