Against UCLA
• Oregon State is 8-3 in its last 11 games against UCLA.
• The Beavers have won six of the last nine series between the teams dating back to 2007. Four of those six series victories have come at Goss Stadium, including a three-game sweep in 2014.
• Oregon State won the first of the three-game series, 3-2, in Los Angeles last season before UCLA claimed the series victory thanks to 4-1 and 10-5 wins.
Senior Day Saturday
• Oregon State will honor its senior class prior to Saturday's game.
• The team's lone senior is Travis Eckert, who transferred to Oregon State from Clark College prior to the 2015 season.
• The Beavers will also honor undergraduate assistant coach Jake Rodriguez, who did not get to participate in senior day during his playing career.
• Rodriguez played catcher, third base and second base for OSU from 2011-13.
The 1-0 Variety
• Friday's 1-0 victory, rare in college baseball, was Oregon State's fifth since the 2013 season.
• Oregon State defeated Utah and Indiana 1-0 in 2013, followed by a victory over Washington in 2014 and then at Arizona State in 2015,
• The shutout marked Oregon State's third of the season. OSU has tallied at least one in each of the last nine seasons.
• The Beavers have posted 55 in eight seasons under pitching coach Nate Yeskie.
Singles
• All three games of the series are day contests. Oregon State is 20-10 overall in day games, and 8-4 at Goss Stadium after Friday's win.
• Steven Kwan's triple Friday was the team's 31st of the season. That ties the 1997 club for the most in a single season.
• Friday's win was Oregon State's 492nd since 2005. Only Arizona State (498) has more.
• It was also the 198th league victory for OSU,.
