
OSU, USC Series Tied At 1; Rubber Match Sunday

LOS ANGELES – The Oregon State baseball team dropped a 10-1 decision to USC Saturday afternoon at Dedeaux Field.

Cadyn Grenier went 2-for-3 to pace the Oregon State offense, which recorded six hits off four USC pitchers. Grenier singled in both the fifth and seventh innings, driving in Nobach on his second hit of the afternoon.
Grenier has three hits and two RBI over the first two games of the series.
The Trojans scored three runs in the first, highlighted by Timmy Robinson's two-run triple.
USC added to its lead with a solo run in the second, then pushed it further to 8-0 with a four-run third inning.
Luke Heimlich started for Oregon State and allowed six hits and seven runs in 2 1/3 innings. He took the loss to drop to 6-4 on the year.
Scotland Church worked five innings, his second-longest outing of the season, and held the Trojans to three hits and two runs before being relieved by Christian Martinek in the eighth.
Kyle Davis started on the hill for the Trojans and scattered three hits and no runs in five innings. He earned the win to improve to 5-8 in 2016.
