
Beavers Ready for Pac-12 Championship Regatta

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women's rowing team travels to Northern California to compete at the Pac-12 Championships Sunday morning on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif.
Three Oregon State crews will race in the conference regatta – the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Varsity 4+. In addition, the Beavers' Novice 4+ will race at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships on Saturday.
Racing is slated to begin at 9 a.m. with the men's V4+ event. OSU's first women's crew to race will be the V4+ at 9:45.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:9:45 a.m. – Varsity 4+
10:15 a.m. – Second Varsity 8
10:45 a.m. – Varsity 8
11:45 a.m. – Awards Presentation
HEAD COACH EMILY FORD QUOTES: “It is always an honor to race at the championship regatta of the Conference of Champions. With three teams ranked in the top six in the nation there will be some serious speed on Sunday.”
COURSE: Lake Natoma is located in the metropolitan Sacramento area, near the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is fed by the snowmelt, by the American River and is a year-round, multi-use recreational area. The racecourse is a world-class facility for rowing, kayaking, canoeing and other water sports. The facility is run by the Sacramento State Aquatic Center and the California State Parks and Recreation.
