Last Game
KJ Harrison's seventh-inning home run was not enough as the Beavers lost a late lead in a 7-5 loss to Washington State Friday afternoon in Pullman. OSU was held hitless through six but put the first two batters on base in the seventh, leading to Harrison's home run that pushed the Beavers to a 4-3 lead. WSU hit a grand slam in the seventh for the win.
Heimlich
• Saturday's probable starter, Luke Heimlich, is 3-0 in starts this season.
• The lefty has allowed just three runs in 27 1/3 innings during his starts. He's also scattered 16 hits and has struck out 19 batters to three walks.
• Heimlich is 1-0 all-time against Washington State, squaring off against the Cougars twice last season. He came out of the bullpen in both appearances.
• Heimlich held WSU to two hits and no runs with seven strikeouts.
Against Washington State
• Oregon State is looking for its sixth consecutive series victory over Washington State dating back to 2011.
• A series victory in 2011 in Corvallis snapped four straight series victories for WSU.
• OSU swept WSU last season, picking up the first series sweep of the Cougars since 2006.
