Last Game
Kyle Nobach drove in three runs, Christian Donahue recorded three hits and Jack Anderson doubled twice to send third-ranked Oregon State to a 13-6 midweek win over Portland Tuesday at Joe Etzel Field. Nobach finished with two hits in four at bats, driving in his first two runs on a single in the Beavers' three-run first inning. The junior has driven in 11 this season. Donahue, meanwhile, extended his hit streak to six games with a 3-for-6 night, singling twice and tripling one. He has three triples during the streak, which has seen him go 12-for-24.
Against California
• Thursday's matchup with California is the first of the top 25 variety for the Beavers this season. The Golden Bears are ranked 17th, according to D1Baseball.com.
• The Beavers are 9-1 over their last 10 games against the Bears. OSU took last season's series, 2-1, after winning the first two by 4-0 and 9-0 shutouts.
• OSU has won five straight series against California. The Beavers have also won five straight against Stanford and Washington State.
Madrigal and Donahue
• Nick Madrigal and Christian Donahue have been absolutely dangerous to opposing pitchers recently.
• Madrigal is on a 12-game hit streak, where he is 21-for-48 (.438) with 13 runs scored, four doubles and eight RBI.
• Madrigal has hit safely in 17 of his first 18 career games. He's been on base in all 18, walking against Kansas State Feb. 26 - his lone hitless game.
• Donahue, meanwhile, extended his hit streak to six games after going 3-for-6 against Portland Tuesday.
• Donahue is 12-for-24 (.500) with five triples during the streak. He has four multi-hit efforts during the streak.
