
Kyle Bjornstad Named Chief of Staff

Former Oregon State University student-athlete Kyle Bjornstad has been named chief of staff for Beaver athletics, OSU Vice President/Director of Athletics Todd Stansbury announced Monday.
Bjornstad spent the last four years as an assistant director of annual giving and the director of the Varsity OSU program for Our Beaver Nation, the fundraising arm for Beaver athletics. In addition he has held positions as a regional media consultant and sales representative for national firms.
In his new role, Bjornstad will assist the Beavers' executive team with various functions, including departmental policy recommendations, compliance, scheduling, contracts, committee assignments, and programming for administrators, coaches and student-athletes.
“As an Oregon State graduate and former student-athlete, Kyle provides a unique perspective to our culture,” Stansbury said. “I'm excited to have him take on this new role and to assist in the development of our initiatives and student-athlete programming.”
Bjornstad was a member of Oregon State's men's basketball team from 2006-09 following two years at Northwest Christian University. As a senior he helped the Beavers capture the College Basketball Invitational title. He is a 2009 graduate of OSU with a bachelor's degree in speech communication
The Eugene native graduated from Marist High School.
