Beavers Drop Regular Season Finale

SANTA CLARA, CALIF.  – The Oregon State men's basketball team concluded its regular season with a 93-72 road defeat to Santa Clara Saturday evening.

With Saturday's results, the Beavers will be the No. 4 seed in the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship, finishing the regular season one place higher than they did in 2024-25. It matches the team's highest conference finish since the 1989-90 campaign.

Johan Munch lead the Beavers with a career-high tying 19 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the floor. Isaiah Sy hit three 3-pointers to end his day with 11 points and five rebounds.

 Keziah Ekissi ended his night with 12 points and six assists off the bench. Yaak Yaak scored nine points, while Olavi Suutela scored eight.

Brenton Knapper led the Broncos with 19 points.

As a team, Oregon State shot 43.5 percent from the floor. The Beavers will end the regular season with a record of 16-15, 9-9 in WCC play. The Broncos will head to the postseason with a mark of 24-7, 15-3 in league play.

The two sides traded blows early on, with Santa Clara leading 9-5 at the game's first media timeout. Oregon State heated up from there, taking its first lead of the game at 17-16. A 9-0 Bronco run put Santa Clara in front 25-17.

The Broncos led 38-33 at the break. Johan Munch led the Beavers with 13 first-half points.

Santa Clara expanded its advantage early in the second half, taking a 51-38 lead just over three minutes into the period. The Broncos held on to take the win by 21.
