Opening comment...
"We had almost 10 turnovers in the second half. We had a couple of plays that sort of changed the momentum of the game. You have to give them credit. But when you're playing against a team that is ranked in the Top 25 and going for a Pac-12 championship and NCAA situations, you can't play one half of a game. I thought we played a really good first half, and I thought in the second half we got tentative, we turned the ball over and we missed a couple of foul shots right when they were making a run."
On how the game changed after Moreland's offensive foul and technical...
"There's no reason to get a technical, but it was an emotional play. I need to take a look at the tape and see exactly what happened if it was a real charge or if the guy was in the restricted zone. You can't get caught up in the emotion of the game and get a technical. He knows that so I don't have to really dig in on one of my guys. He knows it right now and he feels horrible about it."
On whether the officiating changed the flow of the game...
"I don't want to get myself in trouble, but if you saw it that way, maybe it is. Again, I have to look at the tape. I can't really talk about the officiating. I guess that's really like talking about the officiating."
On the play of Roberto Nelson...
"I thought he played a very composed game given the fact he was scoring a lot of points. He was playing within himself, he was helping other people, even though he was scoring points. He didn't force any shots, I thought. I thought he did a good job managing the game and we need games like that from him more regularly."
On how foul trouble with Moreland, Burton and Collier affected the Beavers...
"We were trying offense defense, trying to put them in situations when they were in on defense where they couldn't pick up another foul. But that's just too hard to manage the game that way when those three guys are in foul trouble. But, again, I don't want to blame the officiating on this, because you have to be able to play when the game is physical."
On how the team managed the emotions of the game...
"I thought we did very well up until the point where we missed foul shots. We were like a 90 percent and we were shooting foul shots real well, up until the time the game started to change momentum wise. We were drawing fouls and then you have to make those to keep some semblance of a lead. I thought that, plus the turnovers, was a big deal."
On why Oregon was able to work the ball inside in the second half...
"Part of it was that we were in foul trouble. Our guys were trying not to foul. Strategically, you look at how the fouls are called, which is what I'll do, and it just seemed like our key guys were in foul trouble, especially the front court guys, so we were trying some things to not have them pick up another foul. You just can't really play affective defense that way."
