Devon Collier became the 37th player in Oregon State history to score 1,000 career points when he had a tip in on his own miss in the first half. He now has 1,005 points and is 37th on the list with Swede Halbrook (1,011), Jason Heide (1,017), Loy Peterson (1,018), David Lucas (1,019) just ahead of him.
Joe Burton had 15 points and 12 rebounds to post his fifth double-double of the season and ninth in his career. It's his third straight game with a double-double after getting 17 points and 10 rebounds at Stanford, and 17 points and 10 assists against Utah.
Burton moved into sixth all-time at Oregon State with 681 career rebounds to pass Sam Whitehead, who had 669 from 1971-73. Next on the list is Jay Carty, who is fifth all-time with 691 boards from 1960-62.
Burton had a season-high 12 rebounds to better the 10 boards he grabbed against Montana State, Texas-Pan American and Stanford.
Roberto Nelson scored 21 points and has now scored 20-plus in four consecutive games for the first time in his career.
Eric Moreland moved into a tie for eighth on Oregon State's sophomore rebounding list with 221 to pass Karl Anderson (216 in 1958-59) and Wayne Moss (219 in 1955-56) and equal Gary Goble (221 in 1956-57). Moreland already holds the freshman mark with the 245 boards he pulled down last season. Mel Counts tops the sophomore list with 401 in 1961-62.
Starks moved into a tie for third with Gary Payton with 178 career three-pointers. Just ahead of him on the all-time list are Deaundra Tanner (179) and the school's career leader Chris Stephens (180).
Starks moved into a tie for sixth on Oregon State's single-season three-pointer list with 57 to pass Lathen Wallace (2008-09), Brent Barry (1994-95) and Gary Payton (1989-90), who each made 52, and equal Josh Steinthal (1999-00), Steinthal again (1998-99) and Eric Knox (1988-89). Starks made 79 last season, which is the second most in school history, trailing only Payton, who hit 82 in 1988-89.
Starks has now knocked down five or more three-pointers in a game five times this season and nine times in his career.
Oregon State made 87.5 percent (7-for-8) of its free throws, a game after shooting a season-best 83.3 percent (25-for-30) from the stripe against Utah.
The Beavers had a season-high 21 turnovers. The previous high was 20 against Alabama at the 2K Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 15.
