
Volleyball Falls In Three To No. 15 ASU

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Oregon State volleyball team dropped a three-set match to No. 15 Arizona State Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena in the opening match of the Beavers' trip to Arizona.
Set scores were 19-25, 8-25 and 14-25.
Lila Toner led the Beavers offensively with eight kills while Laura Schaudt tallied seven. The duo accounted for 68 percent of Oregon State's (9-5 overall, 0-3 Pac-12 Conference) 22 kills on the night. Oregon State hit minus-.011 while Arizona State finished with a .307 percentage.
Macey Gardner led Arizona State (13-2, 2-1) with 12 kills.
The Beavers recorded 31 digs to Arizona State's 42; Becky Defoe led Oregon State with 12 while Bianca Arellano was tops on the Sun Devils with 10.
ASU also recorded 11 blocks to the Beavers' four. Schaudt and Arica Nassar each had two for the Beavers, with the former posting the team's lone solo block.
Oregon State returns to the court Sunday when visiting Arizona at the McKale Center in Tucson. The match starts at 11 a.m. PT and can be seen on the Pac-12 Networks.
